SWOOSH Series 2026 (Blown Glass)
A ‘swoosh’ in painting is a fluid, curved brushstroke that begins thick and gradually tapers to a fine, delicate point.
The SWOOSH series explores mark-making on organically shaped, blown-glass vessels using specially pulled glass stringers. Through this process, I experiment with the interaction of different colours and observe the visual effects and reactions that emerge when they meet.
The forms and colours of these works are influenced by the landscapes of places I have visited.
